Rhetorical Analysis of Andrew Szasz’s Article

In recent years, going green is becoming more important. In the article “The Dangerous Delusions of ‘Inverted Quarantine,’” Andrew Szasz attempts to convince the environmentalists that there are better ways than just buy organic food and drink bottled water to be healthy and prevent environmental damage. His audience for this article includes well-educated people who care about the environment and their health. His language usage is flawless; he opposes the environmentalists’ way of protecting the environment by using examples and other logical strategies. He succeeds in delivering his point that what environmentalists think is a good strategy is not actually enough to protect the environment. By using strategies such as posing rhetorical questions and providing facts and statistics, Szasz successfully appeals to the logic of his readers to save the environment from an avoidable damage.
