Write a reflective essay in which you explore a personal experience that connects with a theme from A Farewell to Arms, and reflect on the lesson you learned from the personal experience. Use critical thinking and separate the “Hollywood” component of the movie from the actual message Hemingway is trying to relay. The essay must focus on one of these themes:

Self versus duty
