Oman Biscuit company manufactures and markets biscuits and snacks in different parts of Oman. They are major suppliers of biscuits for Muscat, Sohar and Al Batinah region.
Imagine that you are hired as a new Manager in the company.In order to improve the manufacturing performance, you have been given the task of preparing the organisation structure of the company.
Sketch an appropriate organization structure for the company showing its various departments.
Indicate in the sketch, the formal relationship among various managers.
List the span of control of each manager in the company.
Discuss in what ways this organisation structure can help the company to improve its business.
Question 2 (30 Marks)
Visualize yourself as the Production Supervisor for a group of workers in a concrete blocks manufacturing unit. Explain how you would apply the following five principles of leadership in the context of this work place scenario.

Seek responsibility and take responsibility for your actions
Know your people and look out for their well being
Ensure that tasks are understood, supervised and accomplished
What are the three different styles of leadership? Explain each style briefly.
