COUNTRY PROJECT PAPER 2: MARKET SUCCESS AND ENTRY STRATEGY – (25% of the final grade)
You will write your second paper in five parts as a narrative (not outline) in which you build on the analysis you completed in your first paper and use your critical thinking skills to analyze the factors that will affect your success (positively and negatively) and determine your market-entry strategy. Do not include paper 1 in paper 2. Your paper should be seven to twelve pages, but you will not be penalized if your paper is a few pages longer. You will be penalized 11% if shorter than 7 pages. You must use the headings below for your headings and if not penalized 5pts. This paper consists of five Parts
Part 1 Introduction – Must be a heading in the paper

Discuss how the following country variables could affect the success of your business in your chosen country: Each country variable listed below must be a heading in the paper.

Part 3 Market Strategy Analysis, part 1 – must be a heading in paper
List, discuss, and analyze three specific strategies your company could pursue for the following [pick 3 from the list below]: Each strategy must be heading in the paper. Discuss just 3 topics below not all of them.

For each of the three strategies you choose, discuss how each strategy could be an advantage or disadvantage for the success of your business. Use the names of the three strategies you chose as major headings for this part of your paper.
Make sure your critical analytic perspectives are interwoven with references to the country variables discussed in part 1, and that logical conclusions could be deduced from your writing. Is the discussion logically synchronized? This is the most important aspect of this part of your paper.
Part 4 Market Strategy Analysis, part 2 – must be a heading in paper
Identify, select, and analyze the best strategy of the three you chose, and explain why it is the best strategy for your company. You will need to engage in a comparative analysis using the advantages/disadvantages approach to demonstrate why your recommended strategy is the best one for the company.
Be sure you read and understand the grading rubric for paper 2 to ensure that you meet all criteria.
Part 5: Market Entry Implementation Strategy – must be a heading in the paper
Explain how you would implement the strategy you have recommended for the company. What substantive, specific steps should the company take to implement the strategy? If, for example, you have recommended an export strategy, list and elaborate on your strategic initiatives, considering variables such as various forms of exporting, logistical considerations, government policies, marketing and distribution concerns, the export process, and export intermediaries.
Be sure you read and understand the grading rubric for paper 2 to ensure that you meet all criteria.

All of your written assignments (including citations and references) must conform to the standards of formatting and documentation found in the current edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA). With my permission, you may use another style manual, such as A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations by Kate L. Turabian, or the MLA (Modern Language Association) Handbook for Writers of Research Papers by Joseph Garibaldi. Be specific about how each country variable relates to your business, and discuss the relevance of all the information in your paper to the startup of your business in the country you chose. Do not include any information in the paper unless you are also including an explanation of its relevance to your business. Giving me the country’s history, for example, without indicating its relevance to your business is merely providing filler for the paper.
To help in the grading process, use the country variables as headings.
Use at least eight sources (other than the Daniels text) to support your discussion and analysis.
Remember that, although the minimum length of an acceptable paper is 6 pages, past experience indicates that one cannot do an adequate job of covering all of the required discussion in so few pages.

Do not include pictures, graphs, or lists in the body of the paper; if you need these to support your facts, place them at the end of your paper as an addendum, referenced in the body of your paper; they will not count toward the length of your paper
be written in narrative form, not outline (no bullets at all)
Footnotes of facts are mandatory. Only author name and page number in body of paper for example (Smith, pg. 44). Full footnotes will be at end of paper not at the end of each page.
Bibliography is mandatory and will include all sources used, which should include, for each entry, the author, title, city and state of publisher, publisher’s name, year, and page number. You may NOT cite Wikipedia or any Wiki… as a source in the papers.
Paper may be reformatted if not in compliance with formatting rules discussed above to determine true length of paper.
