Examine Henri Matisse’s The Fall of Icarus (http://www.henri-matisse.net/cut_outs.html) or William Kentridge’s History of the Main Complaint (http://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/kentridge-history-of-the-main-complaint-t07480).
Matisse described his work as “drawing with scissors”, while Kentridge combined drawing with film. These artists pushed the boundaries of the drawing art form to create something unique.
